Love

One of my passions is reading. I am a voracious reader and can devour anything from literature to science fiction. Literature, true stories and mysteries are my favorite. But one book that is my all time favorite is the most popular book of all, the “Bible”. It never ceases to fascinate me, right from the Old Testament to the New Testament. Each tells a story, one more fascinating than the other.

And of all the stories and sayings in the Bible, the following verse is the one most dear to my heart.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8
“Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Love is eternal.”

Hey Boo,
That was a really neat post. Sacred books do have a lot to teach us. Sadly, though, what's written in them isn't given a lot of importance these days. Glad to know someone still does value reading them.
I share your interest in reading. Haven't gotten around to religious books yet though. I prefer mysteries and non-fiction.
By the way, my name is Astha. You can call me that :)
