End of a loooooooooong Vacation!

It's been a real long hiatus from the blog. It's already been 3 days since I resumed work but have not been able to break out of the vacation mode. Sigh! It was a nice long 3 week vacation, hectic but enjoyable. But what I miss most is my sis who'd come down with my niece and nephew. Guess, I'll give myself a couple of days to break out of this depressing mood :-(

Hey Boo!
Long time eh! Glad to have you back. I had taken a hiatus from my blog for a while too. Now, trying to get back to it. MW's nowhere to be seen...probably out of town. Nothing new this side...I'm doing alright. BTW, lovely posts below! There's so much to learn from these stories.
Hope you had fun with your sis and family. May I offer you a steaming cup of Brazillian coffee to help get over the depression? :)

I'm back, I'm back! Wedding, honeymoon, unpacking all done and I'm back online. Doesn't feel strange sitting in a corner in England all by myself yet. Homesickness yet to hit, hard. But I shall not think of it too much and just enjoy being here with Mr.R. And looking forward to staying in touch with all of you! Happy New Year!

Thanks, Boo for your comment on the blog. The wedding, honeymoon et al got over far too soon, although being here is like being on a holiday as well :) Have to keep reminding myself that this is Life as I know it now and Exercise!! :-)

So where in M'lore are you from? My mum comes from Kinnigoly which is somewhere between the airport and M'lore city. My 80 odd yr old grandmum still lives there and runs the property like she was 25! Wish I had her stamina!

Keep in touch. My email address is chryselle@rediffmail.com if you'd like to write in. Take care and enjoy the sunshine!

Hellowww BOO!
Snow is alright if you don't have to walk on it. It's double whammy travelling on it. When fresh and soft, you sink in, your jeans soaking up the water like a sponge. When set and firm, your shoes give way, and you slip like you've never slipped before. And believe me, it's a pain to the eyes, with the sun shining, and the white stuff sparkling. I actually find it depressing.
Where exactly in Canada is your sister planning to migrate? I could give some inside tips on life here. I haven't immigrated here, but know lots of people who have. You see, I'm not here to settle and leave India back. No sireee! You can take me out of India; you can't take India out of me. Hehe...let me put it this way: Your sister will be disappointed when she comes here. If she has perceptions of Canada like most people do, she is in for a big shock. Like I was. But not to scare you, everybody is different; she may like it here.
Hmmm...You and MW are invited to my lowly abode Sunday morning for coffee. Do be so kind as to bless me with your presence :D And I changed the menu: it's not Brazillian coffee now. I'm now planning on serving you Vienna Coffee: a standard or double espresso with a dollop of whipped cream, sprinkled with grated dark chocolate and served in a cappuccino cup.
Any objections? :)

Vienna Coffee sounds fabulous; warms my frozen bits just thinking of it! Wish we were not on three different continents; but surely someday the three of us can meet for coffee - destiny has strange ways of making people meet - Mr.R and I are an example! Keep that koffee ready, Ms.V, you never know when and where Boo and I might turn up! Till then, you stay warm and think of warm sunshine melting all that snow! :)
